Privacy Policy
TL;DR
Pocketsweep does its work on your iPhone or iPad. Your photos, videos, scan results, and history never leave the device. We do not run servers that touch your data. We do not have accounts. We do not use analytics SDKs. We do not show ads. The only third party we contact is RevenueCat, which handles purchase status, offerings, Unlock, and Restore so we can unlock Pro features. RevenueCat does not receive photos or library content.
What stays on your device
• Your photo library access (granted by iOS). • Scan results — counts of duplicates, screenshots, bursts, large videos, look-alike groups. • Vision feature prints, sharpness scores, face quality, eyes-open landmarks, OCR text from screenshots. • Sweep history — when you cleaned, how much you freed. • App preferences — haptics, confirm-before-delete, protected albums. These are stored locally in the app's sandbox (UserDefaults and Application Support). They are removed if you delete the app.
What we send to RevenueCat
RevenueCat is our payment infrastructure provider. Pocketsweep may contact RevenueCat to load purchase status and purchase offerings, and when you tap Unlock or Restore. RevenueCat receives: • Anonymous device identifier (RC-generated, not your Apple ID). • The product you purchased and its receipt. • Your purchase status (active, refunded, expired). RevenueCat does not receive: your photos, your library counts, your usage, your name, your email, or your Apple ID. Their privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
What we do not do
• No analytics — no Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, Segment, etc. • No ad networks. • No tracking SDKs. • No crash reporting that includes user content. • No data sales. Period.
Photo library permission
We ask for Full Photo Access so Pocketsweep can delete photos you confirm. Limited Access also works — you'll see fewer photos to clean. iOS shows the system delete confirmation before any photo is removed; deletions go to Recently Deleted for 30 days. You stay in control.
Children's privacy
Pocketsweep is rated 4+ but does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If we ever change what data leaves your device, we will update this policy and surface it on the next app launch. The current version is dated above.
